At the consultation, he will discuss with you your goals, evaluate the areas of concern, and together a treatment plan will be created. An anesthetic fluid called toumescent solution is then injected into the regions to be treated. The toumescent solution contains two medicines: one that inhibits bleeding and the second that acts as an anesthetic for 12 -24 hrs. This solution allows much greater volumes of fat to be removed and makes the patient much more comfortable when they awaken. Once the solution is instilled the liposuction process is performed.
